Rules
onedollarbid is a public leaderboard. You pay one dollar to stand above everyone else, and rank is who paid last — nothing else.
How ranking works
- Every bump costs exactly $1. There is no other amount anywhere on this site.
- Rank is recency of payment and nothing else. The most recently paid bump is number one.
- Every bump goes straight to the top. Everyone else slides down one place.
- There are no ties. Bumps are ordered by the moment they were paid.
- You cannot pay while you are number one. Somebody else has to take the top before you can buy it back.
- A completed payment is what claims the top. Opening a checkout reserves nothing.
Two boards
- The live board is ordered by who paid last. It changes the moment anyone bumps.
- The all-time board counts lifetime bumps. It never resets and it never decays.
- Websites, X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn each have their own live board and their own all-time board.
- A listing belongs to exactly one board, picked from the link you submit.
What you can list
- A website, app or product URL, or a profile handle on one of the supported networks.
- Chat and invite links are not allowed — Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, Messenger, Signal and similar. This is a board for products and profiles, not group chats.
- No malware, phishing, adult content, or anything illegal where the site is operated. Listings that break this are removed without a refund.
- Query parameters are stripped from listing links, so affiliate, referral and tracking URLs will not work.
- Store and repository links are keyed by their path, so two different apps on the same platform do not share one listing.
- New listings are capped at three per board per hour, so nobody can buy the whole top of a board at once.
After you pay
- Your listing is public: name, one line of description and a link that goes straight to what you submitted.
- Being knocked off moves your listing down one place. It never removes it.
- Bumps are not refundable, because you keep the listing whether or not you are still on top.
- Every bump you have ever paid for stays counted on the all-time board.
- Every listing links straight to what you submitted, with no redirect in between. The link carries rel="sponsored", because the placement was paid for — what you are buying is the traffic.
Bumps and packs
- One bump is one dollar. That never changes.
- A single $1 card charge loses 45 cents to processing, so bumps are paid out of a pack bought once. The smallest pack is $10.
- Pack prices are before tax. Dodo Payments adds whatever your country charges at checkout, so the total you pay may be higher than the pack price.
- Packs never include bonus bumps: $10 buys 10, $100 buys 100.
- Bumps buy listing positions only. They are not refundable, not transferable and cannot be withdrawn as money.
- Bumps belong to your account, so signing in on another device brings them with you.
Bumping automatically
- You can leave a standing instruction on a listing you own: bump it again whenever somebody knocks it off, or bump it on a fixed interval.
- Every rule has a daily ceiling that you set, and it can never spend past it.
- A rule switches itself off the moment you run out of bumps. It does not start spending again by itself when you next top up.
- Reclaim rules are checked once a minute, so two people bumping each other automatically cannot burn a wallet at machine speed.
- A rule can be turned off at any time and takes effect immediately.
Payments and chargebacks
- Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, the merchant of record. Their name is what appears on your statement.
- If something is wrong with a purchase, email hello@onedollarbid.lol before opening a dispute — it is faster and it is always fixable.
- Nothing here limits any right you have that cannot be excluded by law.
Questions people ask
- What is onedollarbid?
- onedollarbid is a public leaderboard of websites and social accounts where the last person to pay $1 sits on top. Knock the current holder off for a dollar, and hold the spot until somebody else does the same. There are six separate boards: websites, X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn.
- How much does it cost to be number one?
- One dollar. Always one dollar — on every board, at every moment, for everyone. There is no bigger payment and no auction.
- Can I pay more to hold the top for longer?
- No. There is no larger payment anywhere on the site. The only way to stay on top is for nobody else to spend a dollar.
- Why can I not bump while I am number one?
- Because otherwise one wallet could hold the top forever and nobody else would have a reason to pay. You may only pay to reclaim the top spot, never to reinforce it.
- What happens when someone knocks me off?
- Your listing moves down one place. It keeps its link, its description and every bump it has ever been paid, and one dollar puts it back on top.
- What is the all-time board?
- A second ranking of the same listings, ordered by how many dollars each has been paid in total. It never resets, so the money you spend leaves a permanent mark even after you are knocked off the live board.
- Why do I have to buy a pack instead of paying a dollar?
- A single $1 card charge loses about 45 cents to payment processing, which would make a one-dollar bump impossible to offer. One pack is one charge, and every bump after it is free of fees. The smallest pack is $10, before whatever tax your country adds at checkout.
- Are bumps refundable?
- No. The listing is the product and you keep it permanently, along with every bump counted on the all-time board.
- Can the site bump for me automatically?
- Yes, on a listing you own. You choose whether it fires when somebody knocks you off or on a fixed interval, and you set a daily ceiling it can never spend past. It stops itself when you run out of bumps and does not restart on its own.
- Is this gambling?
- No. Everyone pays the same dollar and receives the same thing — a permanent public listing with a working link, and the top spot for as long as nobody else pays. Nothing escalates and there is nothing to lose a bet on.
- Do listings give me a backlink for SEO?
- No, and no paid listing anywhere honestly can. Links are marked rel="sponsored" because the placement was paid for, which is what Google's link spam policy asks for. The link still goes straight to your URL with no redirect in between, so what you get is the traffic — which is the part that was ever real.
- Can I list a Telegram, WhatsApp or Discord invite?
- No. Chat and invite links are not allowed. The board is for products, websites and public profiles.
